This policy explains how personal data is used when you visit ai4edu.foundation, contact us or request a meeting. AI4EDU operates in Europe and Africa.
Who is responsible for your data?
ACTLOCAL, an association governed by the French law of 1 July 1901, publishes AI4EDU and is the controller for the data processing described here. What data is used, and why?
When you write to us or book a meeting, we receive the details you provide: name, email, organisation where relevant, availability, intended audience, objectives and the content of your request. Required fields are identified on the form; without necessary contact details, we cannot respond or arrange the appointment. Other details are optional.
We use this information to respond, prepare the meeting and, at your request, discuss an intervention. The legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request when you are considering a service; for general enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence. Technical information needed to operate and secure the website, such as IP addresses and connection information, is processed in our legitimate interest in maintaining a reliable service. Non-essential trackers, if used, require your consent.
Booking and service providers
The booking button opens YouCanBook.me, an external service. Information entered there is used to manage the appointment and prepare the discussion. Read that service’s privacy information before providing your data. You can also contact us directly by email.
Data is accessible to authorised people handling your request and technical providers needed for hosting, email and scheduling, within the scope of their duties. Email is provided by OVHcloud. Cookiebot (Usercentrics) manages cookie choices. YouCanBook.me describes international transfers, including to the United States, and the safeguards it uses in its privacy policy and subprocessor list. Operating in Europe and Africa does not, by itself, mean that your data is transferred to Africa.
Retention
Retention depends on the purpose: handling and following up your request, arranging the appointment or maintaining a possible contractual relationship. Additional retention may be needed to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Data that is no longer needed must be deleted or anonymised. You can ask us which criteria apply to your case.
Cookies and your choices
Cookies essential to operating the site or remembering your choices may be used without consent. Preference, non-exempt analytics or marketing cookies require a prior choice. Refusing these cookies must not prevent access to the site’s information. Cookiebot lets you accept, reject or customise optional cookies. Reopen the panel at any time using the cookie settings icon at the bottom of the page. Available details are shown by category. Polylang remembers your selected language in the pll_language cookie. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests and request portability where applicable. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Email hello@ai4edu.foundation with your request; proof of identity will only be requested if there is reasonable doubt.
You may also complain to the competent supervisory authority, including the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the CNIL in France. Mandatory rights applicable in your country remain unaffected.
Children and sensitive information
Requests concerning children should be made by a parent, legal representative or authorised professional. Describe group needs without sending named participant lists, confidential documents or health data. If a particular need must be addressed, contact us to agree an appropriate way to discuss it.
